Based in the Hunter Valley region, I also offer clothing alteration services for local customers.
Whether it’s hemming, taking garments in, repairing damaged clothing & bags, or making small adjustments for a better fit, I’m here to help give your personal existing fashion items an extended life.
TJ Reworks believes in fixing & keeping fashion items rather than throwing them away & buying new ones.
Alteration services are available by enquiry only through my contact page, business email or instagram dm and are currently offered exclusively to customers located in the Hunter Valley region NSW Australia, to allow for quick & easy pick up/drop offs.
All clothing alteration customers will be invoiced when work is complete & payment must be received before collection.
For more long distance customers, payment will have to be received before item/s are shipped back to you.
Note to local customers - you may require a free appointment with me when handing over the items that need altering, if the alteration requires me to take any measurements.

Pricing: Quotes are provided after viewing your garment, as every alteration is different.
💲 ALTERATION RATES
AVERAGE WORK TURNAROUND
• Typically complete and returned within 1-5 business days depending on my work schedule at the time.
• Rush fees apply if needed within a certain time frame (e.g. within 72 hrs, 48 hrs or 24 hrs)
QUICK & SIMPLE ALTERATIONS
$40 minimum charge
For standard alterations taking less than 1 hour.
EXTENDED & MULTIPLE ALTERATIONS
$40/hour
For alterations taking longer than 1 hour or involving multiple garments or multiple alterations.
WEEKEND ALTERATIONS
$50 minimum charge
For alterations taking less than 1 hour
$50/hour
For alterations taking longer than 1 hour or involving multiple garments or multiple alterations.
URGENT ALTERATIONS (priority rush fees)
+$60 — required within 72 hours (3 days)
+$80 — required within 48 hours (2 days)
+$100 — required within 24 hours (1 day or less)
Urgent alterations are subject to availability and must be confirmed before work begins.
CUSTOM & COMPLEX ALTERATIONS
Prices may vary depending on the garment, fabric, construction, detailing and level of difficulty.
Complex alterations and garment reconstruction will receive a custom quote.

🖤 Customised Orders
I accept a limited number of custom projects each year depending on my availability & schedule.
All previous custom orders are posted in my CUSTOM ORDERS Highlight on the @tj.reworks Instagram Page.
Identities of custom order buyers won't be revealed in any posts without their consent.
All custom order clients will be invoiced individually. A deposit will be required before work begins & full payment will have to be recieved before delivery.
A signature will be required for local drop offs.
Whether you’re after a specific colour palette, patchwork design, or a unique variation of one of my existing styles, I’d love to hear your ideas.
How custom orders works
- Reach out with your idea.
- Include as much detail as possible, such as:
- The product you’d like (e.g. 4x4 Patchwork Tote, etc.)
- Preferred colours or colour palette (e.g. Mixed Red Prints, Black Lining & Straps)
- Any inspiration photos (optional)
- Any specific features you’d like
- I’ll let you know if your request is possible using the reclaimed and deadstock materials I currently have available.
- Once we’ve agreed on the design, timeline and price, I’ll begin creating your one-of-one piece.
Because every item is handmade from reclaimed materials, no two customs will ever be identical. I’ll always do my best to match your vision, but slight variations in fabric placement, stitching and materials are part of what makes each piece unique.

- Reworked jean waistband handbags with custom-coloured lining and straps
- Half patchwork, half reworked denim totes

Custom Order Disclaimers
- Custom orders are subject to fabric availability.
- I may decline requests that don’t align with my capabilities, available materials or current working schedule.
- A deposit is required before work begins. Full payment required before item/s delivered.
- Custom items cannot be returned unless faulty.

🖤 Sentimental Keepsake Orders
Have you had a loved one pass away and want a sentimental keepsake to remember them by?
I can offer a limited number of custom sentimental keepsake orders thoughout the year, created from the clothing of your loved ones who have passed.
I understand how meaningful these pieces are, and I treat every garment with the utmost care and respect. Because of the time and attention each custom order requires, I only accept a small number at a time to ensure every piece receives the care it deserves ❤️
If my current workload is at capacity, I may need to decline or postpone new enquiries. Thank you for your understanding and for trusting me with something so deeply special.

Please Note This service is only offered to residents within the Hunter Valley region, NSW Australia, to help make collecting the clothing & delivering keepsakes back to customers quick & easy.
Unfortunately, at this time I cannot take on any custom sentimental keepsakes outside of this region.
I will definitely be working towards expanding the radius for the future, but at this time its unfortunately too much to take on with my small business being a one-woman show.

🖤 Community Clothing Donations (in exchange for store credit)
Have clothing you no longer wear or want? Don't throw it out!
I happily accept bags of pre-loved clothing donations from the local Hunter Valley community to help give textiles a second life through future TJ Reworks creations.
As a thank you, eligible donations will receive store credit to use towards a future purchase.
Donations are accepted by enquiry only, as I may pause donations if I have reached storage capacity or have enough materials on hand.
Please note that not all items may be suitable for my work. I’ll happily let you know what I’m currently accepting before you donate.
TJ Reworks believes in fashion circularity, sustainability, recyclability and preventing as many textiles, fabrics & materials from ending up in landfill.
Please note any store credits given cannot be used on alteration services, customised orders or sentimental keepsakes, as these items are charged based on time they take, which is time outside of creating the future collections for TJ Reworks.
